Natalie is a first generation Vietnamese American and comes to the LDIR program with a commitment to build and strengthen communities of color. Here, she will be supporting leadership development and coordinating social justice and capacity building workshops for community members.
Prior to coming to LDIR, she worked at Planned Parenthood Education Fund developing their voter engagement program in Los Angeles, and organized with the ACLU of San Diego Imperial Counties around immigrant rights. She is passionate about reproductive rights and Asian American visibility in culture and arts, so she spends a lot of her time illustrating political doodles and contributing to The Slant, an Asian American weekly email newsletter.
Natalie received her undergraduate degree in Political Science at the University of California, San Diego.
