Vice President of Administration

Reporting to the CEO, the VP of Administration joins the executive team to lead AJ-LA’s administrative functions. This executive will oversee overall strategies to support the organization and staff, as well as ensure operations run smoothly. This person will oversee the HR, Facilities and IT departments.

Staff Attorney – Survivor and Family Empowerment

Position Summary:  
Under the direction of the Program Director, the Staff Attorney is responsible for coordinating and providing family law legal assistance, with a focus on serving domestic violence survivors. The SAFE Project focuses on assisting domestic violence survivors with family law matters, as well the indigent and limited-English proficient immigrant community.

Orange County Community Advocate

The Community Advocate is a part-time or full-time position, working in the Advancing Justice - OC office under the supervision of the Orange County Immigration & Citizenship Project Director. The Community Advocate must be fluent in Vietnamese or Mandarin, and English, and will be responsible for legal intake, screening, and client contact duties for low-income immigrants primarily in the Orange County region. The Community Advocate will also assist in a wide array of administrative and logistical tasks related to outreach and education of various ethnic communities in Orange County regarding citizenship. This may include developing partnerships with community-based organization, government entities and working on social media postings. The Community Advocate will also provide application support at naturalization clinics and administrative support in the areas of: clinic administration and organization, data entry, case management and document preparations.

Policy Strategist

Position Summary:  
The Policy Strategist is responsible for advancing the policy  advocacy efforts of Advancing Justice-LA. Utilizing a strong understanding of the legislative process, this position will identify opportunities to uplift key issues of concern with legislative staff and administrative policy makers at the federal, state and local levels, in order to shape policies that positively impact the AANHPI communities.
