APALC to Hold Press Briefing on Implications of Administrative Relief for Undocumented Youth

WHAT:
The Asian Pacific American Legal Center (APALC), a member of the Asian American Center for Advancing Justice, will hold a press briefing on the U.S. government’s decision to order relief for undocumented youth.

WHY:
On Friday, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) issued an order allowing certain young undocumented immigrants to be able to apply for work authorization and be safe from deportation for a period of two years. This order affects thousands of undocumented Asian American and Pacific Islander young people. APALC and other community leaders will discuss eligibility criteria for deferred action status, help available for those affected in our communities, and potential scams to watch out for.
