2020 Census Communications Coordinator (Fixed-Term)

Asian Americans Advancing Justice – Los Angeles’ Demographic Research Project (DRP) seeks a 2020 Census Communications Coordinator to support the creation, translation, printing, and dissemination of community outreach materials as part of efforts to promote Asian American and Native Hawaiian & Pacific Islander participation in the 2020 Census. The Communications Coordinator will also support media relations, including earned and social media.

Education Equity Coordinator

Donna Tang has recently joined Advancing Justice-LA’s Higher Education unit as the Education Equity Coordinator. She has taken a lead role in overseeing the College for All Coalition’s Community Engagement Subcommittee and working with Southern California partners. She will work with partner organizations on higher education access to underserved populations.

2020 Census Statewide Network Manager

As the daughter of refugees from Vietnam, An Le was shaped by the labor exploitation she witnessed at a young age, prompting her to pursue a career committed to using comprehensive strategies to achieve justice and dignity for low-wage immigrant workers.  Along those lines, she had the privilege to work as a legal organizer for the Koreatown Immigrant Workers Alliance, and as a research analyst for SEIU-United Service Workers West and United Healthcare Workers West.   She has the distinction of serving four stints at Advancing Justice-Los Angeles, and was most recently a project director of

Community and Policy Coordinator

Natalie is a first generation Vietnamese American with a background in community organizing. She’s organized for Planned Parenthood - LA on their voter campaign, with the ACLU of San Diego California on their immigrant advocacy initiative, and now handles community and policy advocacy at Asian Americans Advancing Justice - Los Angeles.

Health Program Coordinator

Eddie Hu is a Program Coordinator of the Health Access Project at Asian Americans Advancing Justice-Los Angeles. In this role, he leads the outreach, education, and enrollment efforts of community partners for California’s health coverage programs, including Covered California, Medi-Cal, and local safety net programs, reaching Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islanders (AANHPI) and other vulnerable communities. Eddie also provides in-language direct services in Cantonese and Mandarin, and conducts policy advocacy.
