Volunteer and Phone Bank to get out the vote for the May 2013 Elections!

Join the Asian Pacific American Legal Center (APALC), a member of the Asian American Center for Advancing Justice, to call and turn out Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) voters for the May 21st, 2013 General Municipal Election. APALC’s “Your Vote Matters 2013” project is a multi-lingual voter education and mobilization campaign in the Los Angeles area. The May 21st, 2013 General Municipal Election will determine the mayoral, city attorney, some city council, and other local races. There will also be important local measures on the ballot that will affect our communities. We need you to lift the voices of AANHPIs in Los Angeles! Apply today! Deadline to apply is Friday, April 26th by 5pm.

Why phone banking?
  • Calling voters allows them to ask questions about the voting process.
  • By being informed voters, the AANHPI community will be empowered voters.
  • By providing bilingual and culturally competent voting services, we can increase voter turnout.
  • Receive certified volunteer hours for community service or school.
  • Volunteering with APALC, a leading national civil rights organization, looks great on a resume!
