Fung Brothers: Why your vote matters

Asian American YouTube sensations are all the rage. APALC is excited to announce and premiere our own collaborative effort – a public service announcement – with the duo the Fung Brothers to launch our “Your Vote Matters! 2012” campaign today. The Fung Brothers are a San Gabriel Valley based video company with a strong following amongst Asian American and Pacific Islander youth.

Today, APALC launched the Your Vote Matters! 2012 campaign which is reaching out to over 25,000 Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese, Japanese, Filipino, Thai, Cambodian, South Asian, and Pacific Islander voters in Southern California. The campaign is partnering with 13 community based organizations and has distributed five innovative youth grants to youth based civic engagement projects. Through our media partnerships we hope to reach out to an additional 500,000 voters.

We hope that the video will encourage Asian American voters, young and old, to understand the impact voting has on their lives today.

Please share the video and tell us why your vote matters. Use the hashtag #MyVoteMatters and share the Fung Brothers’ Get Out the Vote video today!
